Full Job Description About CRC:
Our mission is to help our neighbors create paths to healthy food, stable homes and safe relationships. We do this through a variety of programs including emergency assistance, domestic violence emergency shelter, counseling, housing stability and access to food. Community Resource Center is widely recognized as the primary provider of social services and domestic violence programs in coastal North County San Diego, serving more than 7,200 people each year.
Position Summary:
The Marketing Assistant supports the visual and digital presence of Community Resource Center (CRC®) across our website, social media channels and events. This is a hands-on, creative role that includes capturing photos and videos, keeping our website current, building engaging social content, and helping coordinate event logistics. This position is ideal for a creative, organized marketing professional who is eager to build experience while contributing to meaningful, mission-driven work as part of a collaborative Development Department. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Social Media and Digital Content Create, schedule and regularly post content across CRC's social media channels to grow engagement and reach. Adapt photos and videos into platform-appropriate posts and reels. Monitor activity and help maintain a consistent posting cadence and brand voice. Events Coordinate logistics for outside events and tabling activities, including materials, booth supplies and staffing. Prepare and organize marketing collateral, giveaways and display materials ahead of events. Website Content Add, update and modify website content, ensuring accuracy and a consistent brand presentation. General Marketing Support Capture photos and videos of events, donation drives, staff and other mission-related content for use on the website, social media channels, follow-up emails and printed materials. Assist in preparing marketing materials, presentations and promotional content. Assist the marketing and communications manager with email marketing. Support the team with day-to-day marketing tasks and administrative coordination. Requirements Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, English or related field, or commensurate experience. Basic graphic design skills for creating social posts, flyers and marketing graphics, using Canva or similar graphic design platform. Experience updating websites or working with a content management system (e.g., WordPress). Proficiency creating reels for social media. A plus is proficiency with photo and video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or Premiere). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements Primarily sedentary with intermittent standing, walking, bending and stair climbing. Occasional light lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Ability to work in a standard office environment at a computer, including repetitive use of a keyboard and mouse. Position requires occasional work on nights and weekends to support events. This is a Part-time position, approximately 25 hours per week, with a hybrid schedule arranged around core on-site hours at our Encinitas office.
