Job Description

Utah Valley University is hiring a student to do marketing for the Monday Success Center. This position will allow the individual to be very creative and have a lot of say over what happens for the marketing in the center. We are looking for someone who has a background in marketing or is pursuing a marketing degree. The main purpose will be to organize and create marketing campaigns with the goal of driving appointments to the coaches in the center and increasing awareness about the Money Success Center. This can be done with in person and digital marketing. The time commitment can be anywhere between 5-15 hours/week and more if necessary. Coordinate and organize Marketing and Digital Marketing Team efforts: priorities include Marketing Tables, Money Success Week. Coordinate with other UVU Instagram accounts to cross-promote. Post content on Instagram, blog, and podcast on a regular schedule. With team, decide on goals for semester (contests, new swag, Money Success Week). Help select and create marketing material with WSB Marketing by submitting design requests at https://www.uvu.edu/woodbury/marketing-communications-hub.html , including fliers, posters, swag, and yard signs. Communicate with and delegate responsibilities to team members, follow up, and meet regularly. These meetings can include lunch for everyone. Help distribute marketing materials on campus through marketing tables, pop-up marketing campaigns, and regularly (monthly) signage on indoor posters and outdoor yard signs. Communicate with the President on a regular basis. Communicate with the Admin for questions about resources and budget. Attend monthly coach trainings and be prepared for team time. Attend monthly team leadership meetings to coordinate goals, brainstorm, ensure everyone is on the same page, report on how your team is doing, and which team members may be struggling or not contributing. Create or update the team system document in the M$C Drive in your team folder. Must be a current UVU student. Knowledge of and experience with using common marketing software such as Canva and Adobe. Familiarity with
Instagram:
creating, posting, and scheduling photo and video content utilizing trends, humor, etc. that will engage a UVU student audience. Initiative to build relationships with our leadership and student teams to collaborate on generating content and promoting MSC events and operations. Ability to work on multiple projects and posts simultaneously and complete tasks in a timely manner. Ability to be physically present in the MSC each week and have consistent in-office hours.
