Job Description

Marketing Manager Location Carefree, AZ — on-site Reports To VP Employment Type Full-time, exempt Compensation $70,000-$90,000, depending on experience About Brilliance LED Brilliance LED is a veteran and family-owned manufacturer of premium LED landscape lighting, based in Carefree, Arizona. We sell through a national network of irrigation and landscape supply distributors — including Ewing, SiteOne, and Central — supported by field reps across the country. As we scale, we're rebuilding our marketing function around people who do the work themselves and can draw a straight line from what they publish to what it does for the business. The Role We're hiring a hands-on Marketing Manager to own day-to-day execution of Brilliance LED's marketing: social media and content, distributor- and rep-facing sales materials, email campaigns, and trade show support. This is an individual-contributor, execution-first role — you will personally plan, write, schedule, and report on the work, not hand it off and check in later. You'll report to our VP and work alongside our in-house graphic designer and website lead as a lean, three-person marketing team. Every initiative in this role is expected to tie back to a measurable business goal — leads, distributor engagement, brand awareness that shows up in sales conversations — not activity for its own sake. If you can't explain how a post, campaign, or piece of collateral supports a specific company goal, we don't run it. This also isn't a maintain-the-calendar role. Social platforms shift fast, and we need someone who's already plugged in — who can tell us what's trending and why it matters before we ask, not someone applying tactics that worked a couple of algorithm updates ago. What Success Looks Like First 90 days Fully own the social media content calendar and posting cadence across all active channels, with every piece of content mapped to a specific goal (awareness, lead generation, distributor engagement, etc.) Audit and refresh existing distributor/rep sales materials, identifying gaps ahead of the next trade show or sales cycle Deliver a first monthly report connecting marketing activity to concrete outcomes — not just impressions and likes First 6 months Show measurable growth in engagement, lead volume, or distributor participation that ties directly to campaigns you built and ran Run a trade show or major distributor event from a marketing standpoint start to finish Be the go-to person the VP trusts to execute — not someone who needs to be chased for status updates Key Responsibilities Social Media & Content Stay personally current on platform trends, formats, and algorithm changes (Reels, TikTok, Stories, Shorts, etc.) and proactively bring new ideas to the team — this is not a static playbook you execute on autopilot Own and manage all company social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.) — strategy, posting, community management, and copywriting Build and execute monthly content calendars aligned to sales goals and seasonal demand cycles in the landscape lighting industry Coordinate with our graphic designer for visual assets and our website lead for web-linked content and landing pages Track engagement, follower growth, and reach — and report on what those numbers actually mean for the business Build relationships with landscape/lighting industry media, associations, and relevant influencers Distributor & Field Rep Marketing Support Create and maintain sales collateral (spec sheets, catalogs, promotional materials) for our distributor network and field reps Plan and support trade shows and industry events, including materials, logistics, and on-site coordination Serve as the marketing point of contact for field reps, making sure they have what they need to sell Email & Campaign Marketing Plan and execute email campaigns to distributors, reps, and end customers Maintain a shared marketing calendar and report on campaign performance Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with the VP to keep every initiative tied to company goals Partner with our graphic designer and website lead as a small, hands-on team — this role does not manage other employees Bring visibility and accountability to marketing output through regular, plain-language reporting What We're Looking For Genuine, current fluency with social platforms — you use them yourself, know what's working right now (not what worked a couple of years ago), and can point to recent examples rather than dated case studies Able to show us content or campaigns you personally ran in the last 6-12 months — we want to see what you're doing now 3-6 years of marketing experience, with a track record of personally executing campaigns and content — not just overseeing them Demonstrated ability to connect marketing activity to business results (leads, sales conversations, distributor engagement) Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience Experience with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, HubSpot, Constant Contact, or similar) and social scheduling tools (Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, or similar) A self-starter who does the work rather than delegating it, and who's comfortable being one of three people running marketing for the whole company Genuine enthusiasm for the outdoor lighting and landscape industry — someone who gets excited talking about the product, not just the platform Nice to Have B2B, channel/distributor, or trade association marketing experience Experience in landscape, irrigation, outdoor living, or home improvement industries Comfortable shooting quick, native-feeling phone photo/video for trend-driven posts — our graphic designer handles polished visual assets, but the best social hires can still capture raw, timely content themselves Compensation & Location $70,000-$90,000 annually, depending on experience. This is a full-time, on-site position based at our Carefree, Arizona headquarters. To Apply Along with your resume, send a link to a social account or campaign you've personally run in the last 6 months, and one sentence on a trend you've capitalized on recently. We're looking for people who are already doing this, not describing what they used to do. Brilliance LED is an equal opportunity employer.
