Executive Director, Global Corporate Facilities Strategy & Management Services Burlington, NC The Executive Director, Global Corporate Facilities Strategy & Management Services is a senior enterprise leader responsible for defining and executing the global strategy for corporate facilities across a multi‑site, international portfolio. In addition, this position serves as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, shaping long-term footprint strategy, capital investments, and operating models while ensuring governance, risk management, and sustainability objectives are achieved. Job Responsibilities Aligns facilities, real estate, and business strategy to enable growth, operational excellence, workforce experience, and cost optimization. Leads global standardization, performance management, and transformation initiatives across the Facilities Management & Real Estate (FM&RE) function, delivering measurable impact on financial performance, efficiency, and organizational scalability. Oversee global Facilities Management and Real Estate teams of 300+ personnel supporting a portfolio of 3,000+ sites. Direct Facilities Management and Real Estate analytics, benchmarking, and optimization of systems, activities, and personnel. Establish a team‑oriented work environment that values diversity, inclusion, belonging, performance, and talent development. Translate the company's Facilities Management and Real Estate strategy into key initiatives and priorities; develop and execute operating and strategic project plans; track, measure, and communicate progress to internal and external stakeholders. Partner with Business and Functional Leadership to integrate utility conservation, pollution prevention, and space optimization into operations, ensuring a strong Facility and Reliability Culture across corporate sites. Implement innovative, compliant, and scalable solutions that balance business obligations with optimal service delivery, employee protection, and environmental responsibility. Drive environmental sustainability initiatives and performance across the corporate facilities portfolio. Provide expert guidance for Facilities Management programs, projects, mergers, and acquisitions. Lead compliance, continuous improvement, innovation, and sustainable results across Facilities Management projects and programs. Develop capital strategic plans and coordinate with stakeholders to meet future requirements and business demands. Prioritize master planning initiatives across the portfolio to align resources with business focus. Collaborate with Diagnostics and Bio‑Laboratory Services Facility Management and Corporate Real Estate leaders to assess future space requirements versus current capacities. Identify innovative solutions that optimize square footage in a dynamic business environment, including leading site divestiture efforts and supporting new business development integration activities. Foster strong collaboration with Facilities Management Service Providers across soft services, maintenance and utilities operations, security services, and laboratory services within corporate office environments. Lead a team of 10-25 colleagues and contingent staff located in Burlington and Durham, North Carolina. Serve as a conduit of information between operating facilities and Facilities Management at Site, Division, and corporate levels. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related discipline. 10 or more years of experience in facilities management. 8 or more years of experience managing teams of facilities managers in corporate or industrial environments. 5 or more years of experience leading multiple geographically dispersed sites and matrixed functions for global operations. 8 or more years of experience in project planning and execution for diverse portfolios of facilities projects. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in engineering, business, or a related discipline. Certified Facility Manager (CFM). Certified Property Manager (CPM). Professional Engineer (PE) license. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with a visible inclination toward collaboration and driving improved outcomes.
