The Role Big SNOW is seeking an experienced and passionate marketer to join our team and oversee marketing Big SNOW American Dream. As the Marketing Manager you would be responsible for the planning, direction and coordination of Big SNOW's brand standards, marketing, communication, events, and promotions efforts across our various business units. This position reports to the General Manager and is a member of the Big SNOW leadership team.
Areas of Focus:
Work with the Big SNOW leadership team and SNOW Partner's executive team to develop seasonal marketing plans and programs that drive visits and revenue, and elevate the overall brand image, brand awareness and customer experiences. Plan, execute and manage the resorts' omnichannel marketing and advertising efforts and campaigns. Provide leadership and direction to the Big SNOW marketing team. Oversee creative direction and content creation including copywriting, graphic design, and video production. Work with the resorts' Guest Communications customer service manager and team to keep them informed on Big SNOW's products, events and promotions. Manage third party agencies including digital marketing, media planning, public relations and other marketing related services. Manage and maintain community relationships and partnerships. Manage and maintain sponsor relations. Assist as needed with Big SNOW's event planning and execution. Attend weekly leadership team meetings and represent marketing as a member of the resort's Senior Leadership Team. Provide regular reporting to the SLT, GM and SNOW Partners Executive Leadership on marketing program and product sales performance. Perform regular data analysis of resorts' marketing and product sales initiatives to help better inform the resorts' strategies and tactics across their various business units.
Minimum Qualifications:
3-5 years of related brand marketing experience (resort, amusement or hospitality industry experience preferred). 3+ Experience in managing marketing teams as well as outside agencies and vendors. Proven ability to build marketing and advertising plans that reach target audiences and deliver results while staying within a given budget. Strong creative spark to create bold concepts for social media and advertising. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Must have strong project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects at one time. Proficiency in office/google suite and comfort with the digital tools and software required for managing digital marketing. Basic understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles. Intermediate or higher level of skiing/snowboarding ability preferred. Ability to work on site and on occasion travel to another SNOW Partners location, as part of a normal weekly commute. Availability to work nights and weekends and travel overnight as required. Ability to work in a four-season alpine winter environment. A team-first attitude and ability to collaborate well with others.
