Job:
Over the summer, USA Tournament Series hosts youth baseball tournaments in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maine, Connecticut and New York. Interns, in their respective positions, travel with us to each of these locations to help give an impactful youth baseball tournament experience to everyone in attendance. The Digital Content Intern will aid in increasing brand awareness through digital video and photo productions, to better highlight the USA Tournament Series company. Individuals should have an interest in sports video production or social media and a general understanding of the games of baseball and/or softball. Interns will gain valuable experience in working with Mirrorless/DSLR Camera(s) and camcorders, learning audio and lighting techniques, using Adobe Creative Suite programs; Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom Classic, etc. and share their own creations with us of original content for our brand. Interns will also be taught on how to grow social media platforms. Submission of a cover letter and a resume to USA Tournament Series is required.Requirements Include:
- A field of study in video production and/or a general social media experience is required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
- Reliable automobile for travel to all tournament locations.
Internship Dates:
Orientation is Friday May 21st from 9 am - 3 pm (Location TBD) Must be available for the 5th Annual Memorial Day Classic (May 28-31, NOEXCEPTIONS
) Must work 5 other assigned USA Tournament Series events for the duration of the summer Interns will complete up to 50 hours of remote office work. Interns will complete up to 50 total hours of on boarding and office training. Internship runs from May 21st - August 16th.- Willingness to stay overnight in hotels.
- Must have the ability to post content on our social media platforms during games.
- Must be a self starter and have the ability to manage your time throughout the day.
- Need to have good communication skills with a friendly and professional disposition.
Responsibilities and Duties Include:
- Assist the Digital Content Producer in covering USA Tournament Series events; Tournaments, Showcases, Team Scout Days, Testing Days, Social Events etc.
- Provide photography services; Action, headshot, team shots when needed
- Introduce new video products such as Personal Testimonies, staff interviews outside partnership highlights, Inside USA Tournament Series, etc.
- Work closely with the Digital Content Producer to capture content that aligns with and highlights the broader USA Tournament Series marketing strategies/philosophies
- Edit small projects for USA Tournament Series Social platforms; YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, etc.
- Representing USA Tournament Series and presenting yourself in a professional manner at all times and with everyone you become connected with during the course of the tournament.
- Attend all Google Meets meetings throughout the internship period.
Training and Future Contract/Employment Considerations:
- Fully paid/free hotel accommodations. (Interns must be traveling 100+ miles one way to the event to receive accommodations).
- Full college credit for the semester with your college or university.

- Practical and on the job training and mentoring.
- Interns are routinely hired as paid contractors and staff for future events after successfully demonstrating the skills necessary to perform their related duties.
