We are building a growing community of Christian business leaders who believe business can be a powerful force for good in Oregon and beyond. As we grow, we are looking for a creative, connected, strategic marketing leader who can help tell our story, amplify our members, and build meaningful engagement across our digital platforms. About the Role We are looking for a Director of Marketing & Social Media who is equal parts strategist, storyteller, creator, and connector. This is not a role for someone who simply schedules posts. We are looking for someone who can walk into an event, see the story, capture the moment, create compelling content, and then turn that content into a thoughtful marketing strategy that builds awareness, engagement, membership, and community. You will help shape how the OCCC shows up online and in the marketplace, bringing our mission, members, events, leaders, and impact to life through social media, video, photography, podcasts, blogs, email, and other marketing channels. This is an approximately 10-hour-per-week part-time role with significant autonomy. The right person will be a self-starter who can develop a plan, execute it, and continually look for ways to make our marketing stronger. What You'll Do Marketing Strategy Develop and maintain a simple, effective marketing and content strategy aligned with OCCC's mission and membership goals. Build and manage a monthly content and marketing calendar. Identify opportunities to increase awareness, engagement, event participation, and membership. Help establish a consistent and recognizable OCCC voice and brand across platforms. Track basic metrics and use what we learn to improve our strategy. Social Media Develop, create, and publish engaging content across relevant social platforms. Create a healthy mix of educational, inspirational, promotional, member-focused, event, and behind-the-scenes content. Develop content that highlights OCCC members and their businesses. Capture and repurpose content from events, gatherings, interviews, and leadership conversations. Stay current with social media trends and identify creative opportunities that fit the OCCC brand. Content Creation Shoot high-quality photos and short-form video. Be comfortable getting behind the scenes and capturing authentic moments at events and gatherings. Create compelling Reels, short-form videos, graphics, and other social content. Write captions, headlines, blog content, email copy, and other marketing communications. Repurpose one piece of content into multiple formats and platforms. Podcast & Long-Form Content Help develop and manage the OCCC podcast/content strategy. Coordinate recording, basic production, publishing, and promotion. Identify compelling guests and stories within the OCCC community. Turn podcast conversations, interviews, and leadership insights into social posts, short-form video, blogs, and email content. Community & Storytelling Build relationships with OCCC members and leaders to uncover stories worth telling. Help make members feel seen, celebrated, and connected to the broader OCCC community. Attend select OCCC events to capture content and tell the story of what's happening in the room. Look for the moments, people, and stories that communicate the heart of OCCC.

You can create great content without a giant production budget or team.
Current:
You understand today's social platforms, trends, short-form video, and content repurposing.
