The Sales Manager will be responsible for generating new business, developing relationships with local companies and organizations, and increasing hotel room nights and meeting room bookings. This is a hands-on sales position . The ideal candidate is comfortable making phone calls, visiting local businesses, networking, following up with leads, and building long-term client relationships. Responsibilities Generate new corporate, group, military, medical, schools and leisure business. Make daily sales calls and conduct local business visits. Develop and maintain relationships with businesses and organizations in the Webster/Clear Lake and surrounding areas. Prepare proposals, quotes, and contracts. Conduct hotel and meeting room tours. Follow up with leads and past clients to generate repeat business. Manage client requests. Promote the hotel's guest rooms, meeting space, amenities, and IHG One Rewards program. Attend local networking events and community functions. Work closely with the General Manager and hotel staff to ensure corporate clients receive excellent service. Maintain accurate sales records and follow-up activity. Monitor local events and businesses for new sales opportunities. Meet or exceed monthly sales goals. Qualifications Previous hotel sales, hospitality, or sales experience required. Strong communication and customer service skills. Outgoing, professional, and comfortable speaking with new people. Strong organizational and follow-up skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts. Comfortable making cold calls and visiting businesses in person. Professional appearance and attitude. Basic computer skills. Hotel or IHG experience is a plus. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
