Job Description

Integrated Communications Lead, Customer Engagement Marketing, Apple Ads Cupertino, California, United States Marketing Summary Posted:
Sep 09, 2026
Weekly Hours:
40
Role Number:
200682693-0836 At Apple, we focus deeply on our customers' experience. Apple Ads brings this same approach to advertising, helping people find exactly what they're looking for and helping advertisers grow their businesses.

Our technology powers ads and sponsorships across Apple Services, including the App Store, Apple News, Apple Maps, and sports on Apple TV. Everything we do is designed for trust, connection, and impact: We respect user privacy, integrate advertising thoughtfully into the experience, and deliver value for advertisers of all sizes—from small app developers to big, global brands. Because when advertising is done right, it benefits everyone. Description Are you insatiably curious, with an investigative journalist's instinct for asking the right question, chasing the telling detail, and knowing exactly how to shape it into a story that moves people? Can you step into the mindset of a first-time advertiser and a global brand CMO in the same afternoon — and know precisely what each one needs to hear?

We're looking for a strategic, senior-level storyteller to lead the Integrated Communications function within Customer Engagement Marketing at Apple Ads. Customer Engagement Marketing exists to turn Apple Ads platform adoption into customer advocacy, loyalty, and a flywheel of growth — inspiring, educating, and empowering customers of all sizes with premium, highly relevant experiences at every step of their journey. Alongside Lifecycle Marketing, Partnerships Marketing, and Experiential Marketing, Integrated Communications brings advertisers into the conversation through deep storytelling and integrated, moment-in-time campaigns that deliver the right insight, in the right format, exactly when it matters most.

This person will lead a focused team of marketers who know how to shape a single customer insight into whatever format will land hardest — a video success story, a keynote script, an interview guide, or a seasonal campaign. This is a hands-on leader with a genuine, ongoing curiosity about the customer journey — who our advertisers are, what stage they're at, what's blocking them, and what story will actually resonate at that moment.
Day-to-day responsibilities may include:
  • Cultivating, mentoring, and leading a small, high-performing team of writers, storytellers, and content marketers
  • Digging deep with customers, sellers, and internal partners to uncover the questions, insights, and telling details that make a story worth telling
  • Building a deep, ongoing understanding of the customer journey — translating where a customer is (and what they need) into content that meets them there and resonates in that moment
  • Shaping the strategy and ensuring quality and timely delivery of customer advocacy programs and success stories across formats (web, video, and beyond)
  • Overseeing content development for signature events — including interview guides, keynote presentations, and on-stage narratives
  • Leading the creation of bespoke, multi-channel momentum campaigns tied to seasonal and market moments
  • Partnering closely with Customer Engagement Marketing functional leads and other cross-functional stakeholders on joint planning to ensure priorities directly support a cohesive, connected customer experience
  • Moving quickly and helping your team move quickly — unblocking obstacles, making calls with imperfect information, and finding a way forward when the path isn't obvious
  • Evaluating and reporting on how storytelling and campaign initiatives influence customer engagement, advocacy, and retention
  • Sharing clear updates and adapting communications for different internal and external audiences
  • Building relationships with key cross-functional stakeholders and strategic partners, and moreStrong storytelling and editorial instincts, effective team leadership, meticulous attention to detail, and a genuine appreciation for customer voice will be necessary for success in this role.
Some travel will be required.

If this sounds like you and you want to be part of a marketing team focused on growing Apple's advertising business, we'd like to hear from you! Minimum Qualifications 15+ years of experience, with increasing responsibility, in integrated communications, editorial/content strategy, customer storytelling, or events content programming — with a track record of working well with stakeholders Proven success directly managing a team of marketers responsible for developing customer advocacy programs, case studies, and campaigns that drive measurable business impact A portfolio of multi-format work — including video, live event, and keynote content — that demonstrates range and consistent quality Preferred Qualifications Exceptional hands-on writing and editing craft, with the versatility to shape insight into narrative that genuinely resonates across formats and audiences — and the skill to sharpen a team's work while maintaining a consistent, distinctive voice Adept at navigating ambiguity to build new programs from the ground up — from business insight to strategy to deliverable to measurement and optimization Skilled at discussing and debating ideas in a collaborative way, leading through influence and driving focus, and maintaining positive cross-functional relationships as challenges arise Background in journalism, editorial content, or B2B customer storytelling Deep understanding of the adtech landscape, performance marketing, and standard business advertising metrics Self-starter who consistently delivers excellent work — individually and as a team lead Has successfully built or scaled a new team or function from the ground up Proven ability to partner closely with product marketing, field/channel marketing, creative, sales, and PR teams to ship joint work Demonstrated success collaborating across a geographically distributed team Manages multiple work streams, priorities, and overlapping deadlines effectively and with ease Possess unquestionable personal code of ethics and integrity Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.
