A Marketing Communications Specialist describes and promotes an organization and its products including graphics, product collateral, logos, or other promotional products. Analyzes customer requirements, develops messaging architecture and competitive positioning, specifies vehicles/projects, secures resources, communicates project development and drives creative development processes. Works with outside vendors/agencies for design and execution of advertising campaigns, trade show exhibitions, mail campaigns, and seminars.

Job Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and communications plan aligned with organizational priorities. Maintain a consistent brand voice and messaging across all communications. Create strategic campaigns that increase awareness of CGC's services, impact, and community presence. Identify opportunities to strengthen visibility through media, community partnerships, speaking engagements, and digital outreach. Measure and report on marketing performance using key metrics and analytics. Create content for print and digital communications including Website, social media, email marketing, annual report, newsletter, impact stories, brochures and collateral, annual fundraising initiatives Develop and maintain social media content and calendar Support digital advertising campaigns and monitor effectiveness Collaborate across departments to capture stories and communicate the organization's mission, impact, and strategic priorities. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, or a related field, and/or equivalent experience. High Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Canva. Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills Strong strategic thinking, creativity, and project management abilities. Ability to recognize cultural diversity and communicate with empathy, respect, and inclusiveness Ability to interact with individuals of all ages and from diverse backgrounds Ability to build positive working relationships with individuals of all ages, backgrounds, business partners, and community referral sources. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. A collaborative, service-oriented mindset with a commitment to supporting the mission and values of Child Guidance Center. Experience working within a nonprofit organization, healthcare, behavioral health, or human services environment preferred. Experience developing mission-driven marketing campaigns, storytelling, and donor communications a plus Bilingual Spanish language skills are highly desirable. Pay up to $36 hourly depending on experience.
