About the Role The Technical Engineer is on-site in our Marathon, FL location and will support the design, development, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement of Coastal Source products and technical solutions. In this role, you will work closely with engineering, product, sales, technical support, operations, and customers to ensure our systems are thoughtfully designed, accurately specified, and successfully implemented in the field.

Compensation :

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $95,000 annually. This range is intended as a general guideline and does not guarantee a specific starting salary. Starting compensation is typically positioned within the range and is determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant work experience, education, training, demonstrated skills and qualifications, internal equity, market conditions, and overall business needs. While candidates may be considered anywhere within the range, it is uncommon for new hires to be placed at or near the maximum of the pay range. What You'll Do Provide technical engineering support for Coastal Source lighting, audio, and integrated outdoor systems. Assist in product design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and refinement. Create, review, and maintain technical documentation, drawings, specifications, and support materials. Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate product performance, resolve technical issues, and improve installation outcomes. Support customers, dealers, and field teams with technical guidance, problem-solving, and best practice recommendations. Participate in product improvement initiatives by identifying recurring issues, documenting findings, and recommending practical solutions. Help ensure products and systems meet quality, performance, reliability, and usability expectations. What We're Looking For Genuine curiosity about and passion for audio systems, loudspeaker design, and the pursuit of high-fidelity music reproduction. Strong technical aptitude with experience in engineering, audio and lighting product support, technical service, or related field. Experience with low-voltage audio/electrical systems. Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial design, acoustics/audio engineering, or a related field - or equivalent hands-on experience. Ability to read, interpret, and work with technical drawings, specifications, schematics, or product documentation. Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Hands-on experience with rapid prototyping and digital fabrication methods including 3D printing, laser cutting, and CNC machining a plus. Familiarity with environmental durability testing standards and methods. Clear communication skills and the ability to translate technical information for both technical and non-technical audiences. Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across departments. Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy, quality, and follow-through.
