Job Description
Company Overview The American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM) is a nonprofit membership organization dedicated to advancing neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, and electrodiagnostic medicine. Since 1953, we have been committed to improving the quality of care for patients with muscle and nerve disorders through education, research, and advocacy. Overview The Senior Marketing Specialist is a creative, data-driven professional responsible for the execution, optimization, and analysis of multi-channel marketing campaigns. Working closely with the Manager and design staff, this role bridges the gap between creative concept and technical execution. The ideal candidate possesses a strong visual sense, excellent copywriting skills, and a deep understanding of digital platforms, digital layout, and audience engagement metrics.
Position Relationships:
- Reports to the Marketing Manager
- Works with other departments to develop content and messaging that helps them achieve their goals
- Interacts with Board and committee members, AANEM members, and potential members
Duties and Responsibilities:
Campaign Execution:
Manage and deploy day-to-day digital marketing workflows across email marketing platforms, social media channels, and web properties.Content Creation & Digital Layout:
Draft, proofread, and edit high-impact copy for newsletters, promotional materials, and web content. Utilize design principles to lay out digital communications and collaborate with the design team on complex assets.Analytics & Reporting:
Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for all digital campaigns, translating data into actionable recommendations to optimize future performance.Brand Amplification:
Ensure all public-facing content adheres strictly to brand guidelines while consistently identifying new opportunities for community growth and audience reach.Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with the Graphic Designer to translate campaign briefs into compelling visual collateral, providing strategy and copy framework support. Required Skills/Abilities Proficiency in digital layout tools, content management systems (CMS), and marketing automation software.CRM/Marketing Automation:
Experience with or exposure to HubSpot (specifically list management and social scheduling) is a significant plus. Strong analytical skills with experience utilizing platform metrics to drive content strategy. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in marketing, Digital Media, Graphic Design, Communications, or a related field. 5+ years of experience executing digital marketing campaigns and managing corporate social media/email platforms.Working Conditions:
For those working in the Rochester Office, nearly all work is performed in a comfortable indoor facility. The position frequently involves having to meet deadlines, shifting quickly from on task to another; changes in the nature or volume of work; coordinating activities with other employees; and handling the stress of competing priorities.Physical Requirements:
The employee is regularly required to sit, reach, talk, hear, and occasionally be able to lift boxes, merchandise, etc. up to 15 pounds. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Vision Requirements:
Ability to see information in print and electronically; ability to identify and distinguish colors to proof work on web site and print material; close vision for working in front of computer screens and working on print material.Travel Required:
All AANEM staff are required to work at the annual meeting. This event is held in the fall of each year, at a different location. All staff fly to and from the meeting(s) depending on the location. Additional travel may be required based on job responsibilities.Annual Meeting Duties:
At the annual meeting, must be able to work long hours, move quickly between locations, handle stressful situations, stand, walk, stoop/kneel/crouch/crawl, handle objects with hands, and lift or push objects between 25-50 pounds.Application Instructions:
