About the Role GK3 Capital is seeking an experienced Senior Marketing Strategist to lead client relationships and marketing strategy within our financial services practice. This is a senior, highly client-facing position. It is not a campaign coordination or marketing support role. The Senior Marketing Strategist serves as the primary relationship owner and strategic marketing lead for assigned clients, including larger and more complex accounts. You will be responsible for understanding each client's business objectives, developing the overall marketing strategy, setting priorities, leading client conversations, and directing internal teams to bring that strategy to life. We are looking for someone who can think beyond individual marketing tactics. You should be able to look at a client's business, sales objectives, audience, marketing performance, and competitive environment and determine what the marketing strategy should be. You must also be comfortable recognizing when something is not working, making recommendations, changing direction, and confidently explaining those decisions to clients. What You'll Do Own and lead assigned client relationships from onboarding through ongoing strategy, execution, reporting, optimization, retention, and growth Serve as the primary strategic point of contact for client leadership and key stakeholders Lead client meetings, strategic planning sessions, presentations, performance reviews, and difficult conversations Develop comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with client business objectives, sales goals, target audiences, and growth priorities Bring proactive ideas and recommendations to clients rather than waiting for clients to determine what they need Evaluate client requests within the context of the broader strategy and recommend a different approach when appropriate Manage larger and more complex client accounts involving multiple stakeholders, campaigns, priorities, and internal workstreams Analyze marketing and campaign performance and translate data into actionable strategic recommendations Identify when a strategy or campaign is underperforming and determine how the approach should change Pivot strategy based on performance data, market conditions, client priorities, regulatory considerations, or changing business needs Develop integrated marketing strategies across paid media, email marketing, content, SEO, social media, CRM, marketing automation, websites, and digital campaigns Translate client goals into clear marketing roadmaps, priorities, deliverables, timelines, and success measures Set strategic direction for Creative, Paid Media, Content, Development, CRM, Technology, and other internal teams Ensure internal teams understand how their work supports the client's larger business and marketing objectives Review client-facing work for strategic alignment, accuracy, quality, and readiness before presentation or launch Manage client expectations, deadlines, deliverables, and internal responsibilities Identify opportunities to expand client relationships based on legitimate business and marketing needs Conduct industry, competitor, audience, and market research to strengthen client strategy Direct and mentor Marketing Account Coordinators assigned to your accounts Maintain a strong understanding of financial services marketing trends, digital marketing best practices, and relevant regulatory considerations What We're Looking For 4-6+ years of experience directly managing and leading external client accounts Demonstrated experience serving as the primary client relationship owner and strategic lead Experience independently managing multiple client accounts in an agency or client-services environment Proven experience developing marketing strategy, not solely executing campaigns or individual tactics Experience managing larger or more complex accounts with multiple stakeholders and workstreams Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills Ability to connect marketing activity to broader business, sales, and growth objectives Ability to evaluate performance, identify problems and opportunities, and recommend a clear course of action Strong executive presence and confidence leading client meetings and strategic conversations Ability to professionally challenge assumptions and navigate difficult client conversations Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills Experience managing competing deadlines, client priorities, and multiple internal resources Experience with multi-channel digital marketing, including paid media, email marketing, content, SEO, social media, websites, CRM, and marketing automation Experience using analytics and performance data to guide marketing strategy and decision-making Strong knowledge of HubSpot or a comparable CRM and marketing automation platform Ability to delegate effectively and provide direction and mentorship to Account Coordinators and supporting team members Exceptional organization, accountability, follow-through, and attention to detail Bachelor's degree required Ability to work in person in our Robbinsville, NJ office Preferred Experience Financial services marketing experience Experience working with asset managers, wealth managers, alternative investment firms, ETFs, mutual funds, real estate sponsors, or fintech companies Marketing agency experience strongly preferred Understanding of FINRA and SEC considerations related to financial services marketing Experience with lead generation, CRM strategy, lead scoring, sales enablement, and marketing automation Experience with Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and Meta Ads Experience with HubSpot reporting, workflows, segmentation, and campaign management Who Will Be Successful in This Role This position is designed for an experienced client strategist who is already comfortable owning client relationships and being the person clients look to for strategic direction. You should be able to walk into a client meeting, understand the larger business objective, ask the right questions, identify opportunities or concerns, and recommend a clear path forward. Success in this position requires someone who is proactive rather than reactive. You should be comfortable making recommendations, adjusting direction when something is not working, managing difficult conversations, and keeping both clients and internal teams moving forward. This role is specifically focused on managing multiple external client accounts. Candidates whose experience has primarily been internal marketing for a single company or brand, or supporting accounts without independently owning the client relationship and strategy, may not be the right fit for this position.
