Chery Industrial is a US distributor of globally recognized heavy equipment and industrial product. Chery Industrial's headquarters are located in Garden City, Long Island, and was established in 2013, with locations in Maryland, North Carolina, Texas, Washington, and Canada (Montreal, Toronto). Chery Industrial is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Operations & Business Assistant to support the COO in day-to-day business execution. This position bridges customer communication, marketing coordination, and operational follow-through. This position will help connect suppliers, warehouse teams, and buyers, ensuring every auction runs smoothly. It's an excellent role for someone who enjoys a fast-moving environment, enjoys talking to customers, and wants to grow into an operations or marketing management position within the industrial-equipment sector.
Job Responsibilities:
Communicate with consignors and buyers, handle inquiries, and coordinate bidding, payment, and pickup. Collect product details, photos, and upload listings to the auction platform. Coordinate with warehouse teams for labeling, logistics, and product tracking. Manage social media posts and assist in auction promotions and ads. Maintain customer and inventory records; prepare basic reports. Support the COO with daily operations and inter-department coordination. Provide travel and logistics support during auction events in other states.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. MBA is preferred. 1-3 years of experience in marketing, operations, sales support, or customer service. Bilingual in English and Mandarin required. Proficient with Microsoft Office / Google Suite; experience with Facebook Business Manager, Canva, or Mailchimp is preferred. Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities. Positive attitude, problem-solving mindset, and willingness to travel occasionally to auction sites (e.g. Maryland, Texas) Interest in industrial products, logistics, or auction operations is a plus.
Pay:
$20.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
