Job Description

New Product Development Assistant Manager Our company is looking for and has an opening for a New Product Development Assistant Manager that will be a key part of the development team. If you love people and working with customers around the globe and are looking for career growth and advancement, then this is a role of a lifetime. Strong organizational skills, working with excel, being creative and thinking outside of the box will be a part of what will be needed. Background in retail or hospitality a plus. This position works directly with the President of the Company and the VP of Business Development. The position will interface with senior management, vendors, and cross functional teams in creating private label items, print advertising, marketing collateral and images within the industry for product launch strategies and execution.
Job Responsibilities:
  • New Products - Manage and assist the timely release of new products
  • Manage organization of artwork, new product images, in-stock products, and sales trip packages.
  • Build and manage relationships with global vendors with shipping, quality control, resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Provide oversight in management of product, boxes and inserts
  • Work closely with the sales team preparing presentations, quotes and acquire product. Provide support to secure sales.
  • Develop copy for product packaging, photograph products, create item numbers & proofread product catalogue.
  • Maintain spreadsheet of all inventory tracking of new items being developed, shipped, timelines, etc.
  • Interact with various department heads and work as a team.
  • Ability to write copy for new products.
  • Excellent communication skills with clients
  • Create power point presentations for prospective clients
  • Skilled with word, Power Point & Excel.
  • Must be detail oriented and follow through on all projects/tasks given.
  • Oversee incoming and outgoing shipments in the warehouse.
  • Place product orders and receive product orders.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and deadline intense environment
  • Tracks new products per customer by coordinating engineering, manufacturing and distribution schedules.
  • Tracks samples, artwork and packaging to and from Vendor/Clients
