Job Description

at Insight Global, LLC in Deerfield, Illinois, United States Job Description Job Description Insight Global's client is looking for an Associate Product Manager to join their item. The ideal candidate would come from a consulting environment because of their strength in structured thinking, fast ramp-up on unfamiliar domains, client-ready output, comfort with a moving target.
  • This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role supporting a Product Manager operating across multiple concurrent workstreams. You will not have a team; you will be the one producing the work.
  • Comfort operating with incomplete information. You will frequently be asked to make progress on something before the problem is fully defined, and to bring back a first draft rather than a list of questions.
  • Ability to move between strategic and tactical work in the same day
  • drafting an executive update in the morning, chasing down a vendor deliverable in the afternoon, building a requirements workbook after that.
  • Strong written communication. A meaningful portion of this role is producing artifacts that go to senior leadership: status narratives, readouts, business cases, decision memos.
  • Experience translating unstructured stakeholder conversations into structured documentation
  • business requirements, process flows, elaboration workbooks, acceptance criteria.
  • Vendor and third-party coordination experience: tracking commitments, holding partners to timelines, and escalating clearly when they slip. Success in the first 90 days looks like:
  • Independently owning documentation and follow-through for at least two active workstreams
  • Producing leadership-ready materials that require editing, not rewriting
  • Proactively surfacing risks and blockers before they are asked about
  • Project Goal:
    Modernize store operations technology.
  • Eliminate unused legacy technology in stores.
  • Introduce a unified platform for daily work.
  • Current Challenges:
  • Lack of internal communication tools (e.g., chat) for store employees.
  • Many operations are still performed manually using "clipboard paper."
  • District managers spend "four hours a week consolidating reports from different sources" to assess store performance.
  • No visibility into inventory location (back room vs. retail floor).
  • Target Audience:
  • All store employees (retail associates, pharmacists).
  • Field leaders: District Managers, District Pharmacy Supervisors, Regional Vice Presidents (entire field organization).
  • Proposed Solutions & Initiatives:
  • Unified Platform:
Implementing Microsoft Teams as a platform for over 200,000 field personnel.
  • Customized Microsoft Teams experience for store managers.
  • Development of custom apps for specific store tasks (e.g., store walks, task management).
  • Automation:
    Automating manual daily tasks.
  • Inventory Modernization:
Developing systems to track inventory in the back room versus on the retail floor.
Reporting Consolidation:
Aim to provide easier ways to consolidate reports for field leaders. We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer that believes everyone matters. Qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment regardless of their race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital status, national origin, ancestry, genetic factors, age, disability, protected veteran status, military or uniformed service member status, or any other status or characteristic protected by applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances. • Retail, pharmacy, healthcare, or frontline/store operations exposure is a plus but not required. (retail experience would be ideal)
