General Overview The Product Manager - Residential, Sump & Utility Pumps is responsible for developing and executing the product strategy. This role oversees the product lifecycle, drives innovation, and ensures alignment with business goals and customer needs. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities, capable of managing cross-functional teams to drive new product development, optimize product performance, and execute a long-term innovation strategy. Overall Responsibilities 1. Product Portfolio Strategy Develop and manage a comprehensive product portfolio strategy that aligns with business objectives and market needs. Conduct market research to identify trends, customer insights, and competitive positioning. Define product roadmaps, including enhancements, line extensions, and discontinuations. Work with cross-functional teams to optimize product mix, pricing, and go-to-market strategies. 2. Cross-Functional Leadership Lead and collaborate with R D, engineering, marketing, supply chain, finance, and sales teams to drive product success. Align stakeholders on key priorities, ensuring seamless execution of product strategies. Facilitate cross-functional meetings, managing timelines, deliverables, and key milestones. Champion a customer-centric approach across all teams. 3. New Product Development (NPD) Drive the end-to-end product development process, from ideation to commercialization. Define product requirements, specifications, and value propositions based on customer insights. Collaborate with R D and engineering teams to develop innovative, high-quality pump products. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, sustainability goals, and safety guidelines. Conduct product testing, validation, and pilot programs before full-scale launch. 4. Innovation Strategy & Planning Define and execute a long-term innovation strategy for pumps. Identify emerging trends, technologies, and consumer demands to inform future product opportunities. Partner with external industry experts, research institutions, and technology providers to stay ahead of innovation. Develop business cases and investment recommendations for new product initiatives. 5. Product Performance Analysis Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, including sales, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. Use data analytics and customer feedback to optimize product performance and drive continuous improvement. Identify and implement corrective actions for underperforming products. Present regular performance updates and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
10+ years of product management experience in the pump industry.Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of residential sump and utility pump technologies, sustainability practices, and regulatory requirements. Skills Excellent communication to influence cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders. Proven ability to develop and execute product strategies that drive business growth. Strong analytical skills to assess market trends, customer insights, and financial performance. Experience with stage-gate product development, and innovation frameworks. Proficiency in product management tools, data analytics software, and project management platforms.Key Leadership Competencies Strategic Thinker:

Working Conditions Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours but will vary according to special projects, deadlines or other concerns. This position is located onsite at our Eagan, MN headquarters with travel expected up to 25%.
