Balancing the needs of the customer with the capabilities of available processes while maintaining competitive costs. Developing products and associated procedures that maximize quality and efficiency during production and in turn quality and value in the product. Supporting Operations in executing the processes by conducting regular audits of instructions and compliance. Process Development
- Development of new and improvement of existing production techniques and tools. Shop Floor Technical Liaison
- Communication of instructions in both written and verbal form to clarify processing requirements. New Product Development
- Initial review, cost estimating, bill of material and product routing development, tooling construction, rigging design, process development, sampling and release of products to production. Repeat Product Review
- Review and update as required prior to full production. Sample Processing
- Tooling construction, modifications, or repair and verification of product requirements prior to release.
Justify manufacturing and tooling costs to the sales group. Request design changes and deviations from customers. Explanation of tooling designs and rate selection to shop floor. Negotiation of design and pricing with vendors. Perform all other duties as required.
