Job Description
The Senior Product Manager - Control Platform Upgrades is a key member of the Digital Platform product line team within GE Vernova's Onshore Wind business. This role owns multi-generational strategy and product management for turbine controls hardware and firmware, spanning both the new product development roadmap and supporting the existing installed fleet. The ideal candidate bridges deep technical understanding with strong commercial acumen to drive competitive, reliable, and innovative embedded controls solutions. Responsible for activities and processes that help the sales organization achieve business objectives. Owns/influences commercial business operating guidelines and has ownership/influence over budgets. Guided by functional policy. There is autonomy within the role to enter into/execute Commercial arrangements. High levels of Commercial judgment are required to achieve outcomes required. Job Description Essential Responsibilities Own value proposition, commercialization and revenue/margin growth of Control Platform Features, Configuration, Licensing and Upgrades. Partner closely with Engineering, Services, and Commercial teams to synthesize customer needs, field performance data, and market trends into actionable product differentiation strategy. Collaborate with Customers, Commercial and Engineering to drive VOC, business case development, funding justification, and program oversight for Control Platform NPI's. Serve as a customer-facing subject matter expert, supporting contract negotiations, technical reviews, and Inquiry-To-Order (ITO) activities. Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments relevant to turbine controls and embedded systems. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 12 years of experience in Product Management, Renewables and/or Industrial Control Systems). 8 years of experience in Product Management, Renewables and/or Industrial Control Systems. Desired Characteristics Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
