$27-45/ Hour Based Upon Experience Join Our Craft Distillery We are an independent craft distillery in Portland, Oregon, producing award-worthy spirits while developing an exciting portfolio of innovative ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktails. We're looking for an experienced Distiller / Beverage Innovation Specialist who combines technical distilling expertise with exceptional sensory skills and a passion for product development. This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to help shape the future of a growing craft spirits brand through recipe creation, blending, flavor innovation, and commercial beverage development. What You'll Do- Creative ownership of specialty spirits and RTD cocktail formulations from concept to scaled production.
- Lead flavor development, sensory evaluation, and ingredient selection.
- Blend whiskey, rum, and specialty spirits.
- Conduct bench trials and pilot batches.
- Collaborate on new product development strategy and seasonal releases.
- Assist with distillation, proofing, batching, and packaging.
- Maintain production records.
- Ensure compliance with TTB, OLCC, GMP, and food safety standards.
- Conduct market research to identify trends in new product development Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional distilling or beverage manufacturing experience.
- Experience developing spirits or RTD beverages.
- Demonstrated blending experience and excellent sensory evaluation skills.
- Understanding of distillation, proofing, maturation, and blending.
- Experience scaling recipes from R&D to production.
- Strong organization and documentation skills.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds. Preferred Experience
