Rosemead, CA - Hybrid (Tue/Wed onsite)
Duration:
18-month contract
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00
PM Pay Range:
$83-88/hr Our client, a major Southern California energy utility, is seeking a Manager, Project/Product V to lead a full technology workstream, coordinating across product vendors, service vendors, and internal business partners on a large-scale IT initiative. Job Responsibilities In this role, you will manage and support a technology-focused project workstream within the IT organization.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing and maintaining a comprehensive project plan in Microsoft Project Coordinating and managing progress across multiple internal teams and technology domains Overseeing activities related to Service Transition Planning & Support Coordinating with the Quality Design and Architecture Review Team on associated review processes Delivering weekly status reports to both the operational team and management Quickly adapting to shifting priorities across concurrent workstreams Essential Job Duties and Job Functions Gather requirements and support development of detailed project plans and schedules Track progress against deliverables and proactively flag risks or delays Coordinate cross-functionally with product vendors, service vendors, and business partners to keep the workstream aligned Maintain clear, up-to-date project documentation throughout the engagement Communicate status, risks, and milestones to stakeholders at varying levels of seniority Work independently while operating under moderate time constraints Knowledge and Skills Strong IT project management skills and working knowledge of standard project management methodologies, tools, and techniques Process management experience, with familiarity with large-utility or similarly regulated corporate processes a plus Very good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage cross-functional teams and translate progress into clear updates for varied audiences Proactive, self-directed working style with strong problem-solving and documentation habits Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience 7-10+ years of overall experience, including experience coordinating or managing small to medium-sized projects or product workstreams Demonstrated ability to gather requirements, support project plan development, manage schedules, and contribute to execution of defined deliverables ...
