Job Summary:
As a member of the HPCWorks Product Management team at Siemens, you will serve as a Technical Product Manager for Siemens HPCWorks products. In this delivery-focused role, you will partner with Development, Quality Assurance (QA), and Release Management to turn product direction and customer needs into clear epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and actionable Jira tickets. You will own and refine the product backlog, drive sprint planning and execution, and follow work through build, test, and release to internal and external customers. You will help Siemens deliver high-quality, predictable releases.
Key Responsibilities:
Own the backlog : Maintain a prioritized backlog, ensuring items are clear, sequenced, and ready for engineering. Lead backlog refinement and align priorities across Product, Engineering, QA, and stakeholders. Coordinate delivery with
Engineering and QA :
Partner daily to plan sprints, clarify requirements, manage dependencies, and move work from development through validation. Drive release readiness : Define release scope and success criteria, track progress, and ensure features are complete, tested, documented, and ready to ship. Partner with teams to triage defects and deliver releases to internal and external customers. Serve as the technical point of contact : Clarify expected behavior, help reproduce issues, and support design reviews and internal demos. Engineering Teams:
Work as part of the delivery team : Join sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives to keep work unblocked and predictable. Clarify requirements quickly : Answer questions, remove ambiguity, and keep acceptance criteria and edge cases clear. Capture key needs like performance, scalability, and reliability. Align on approach and sequencing : Agree on scope, milestones, and dependencies, and ensure stories are broken down in a way that matches how the system is built. Partner with
QA :
Ensure stories are testable, coordinate test planning, and track defects through triage and resolution. Manage dependencies and handoffs : Coordinate with platform, infrastructure and operations (DevOps), documentation, and support so environments, tooling, and enablement are ready for release. Close the loop after release : Support rollout with release notes and known issues, and feed production feedback and support escalations back into the backlog.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or related field. 4-7 years of experience in product management or technical role. Proven ability to work with engineering teams using Agile methods, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and defining clear acceptance criteria. Strong working knowledge of software delivery: Familiarity with the software development life cycle (SDLC), defect triage, release planning, and partnering with QA on test strategy and validation. Jira experience (or similar tools): Create and manage epics, stories, tasks, and bugs; use workflows and dashboards to track delivery and communicate status. Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to turn stakeholder input into clear requirements and acceptance criteria. A customer-first mindset and a track record of delivering user-focused products in demanding technical environments.
Preferred Experience:
Direct experience with Siemens workload managers (Accelerator, PBS Professional, and Grid Engine). Knowledge of hybrid on-premises and cloud environments for electronic design automation (EDA) workloads, including strategies to scale compute into the cloud during peak demand. Familiarity with containers and orchestration tools such as, Kubernetes, Docker, Singularity. Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) and distributed computing architectures that support large design and engineering teams. Why Join Siemens?
