You will be responsible for developing products to support the growth plan of the company in close partnership with our vendor partners overseas. We are looking for someone with a creative eye and genuine interest in home décor. Key responsibilities

• Understand trends and internal product metrics to steer design direction, price points, product requirements and address assortment gaps.
• Responsible for timely updates with overseas vendor partners, cost negotiations and order quantities for new components/products, and new product build prototypes.
• Produce sketches, technical drawings, and specifications for new products based on internal direction and vendor feedback.
• Review and provide feedback on samples with a strong eye for quality, proportion, material, and on-brand aesthetic.
• Understand timelines and lifecycle documentation to ensure project updates are provided regularly and development milestones are reached on schedule.
• Conduct First Article Inspection using best judgement on product quality and suitability, documenting and transmitting feedback to the team, and driving internal and vendor-facing documentation and communication when necessary.
• Facilitate accurate data asset management (imagery, specs, certifications) for new skus.
• Gather and consider product feedback from customers and other stakeholders to implement in future developments.

REQUIREMENTS

2-3 years of experience in product development preferred. Ability to travel for vendor meetings, trade shows, etc. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, CAD (nice to have) Detail oriented. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
