Job Description

Senior Textile Product Development Engineer responsible for designing and developing woven fabrics, yarn constructions, and textile products from concept through pre-production. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Textile Technology, Textile Engineering, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in textile manufacturing and product development. Strong experience with weaving processes. Experience with yarn development and yarn construction. Experience with fabric construction and textile manufacturing processes. Experience developing fabrics to meet defined performance requirements. Experience managing multiple product development projects. Experience with ERP and product development systems such as M3, AS400, Barco, or similar platforms. Experience maintaining technical product, yarn, and fabric development data. Ability to work in both office and industrial textile manufacturing environments. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment in production areas. Preferred Skills Experience with prototype development, sample trials, and pre-production activities. Experience optimizing textile products for manufacturability. Experience improving existing fabric constructions and textile products. Experience with master data management across ERP, manufacturing, and development systems. Experience providing technical guidance related to fabric formation and weaving technologies. Experience supporting customer-driven textile development programs. Experience using Excel for product development and manufacturing data. Job Responsibilities Design and develop fabrics based on product and performance requirements. Develop yarn constructions and specifications to support fabric performance objectives. Coordinate prototype development, sample trials, and pre-production activities. Support manufacturing teams with product development and manufacturability requirements. Optimize fabric constructions, yarn specifications, and textile processes. Develop improvements to existing textile products and manufacturing methods. Maintain fabric, yarn, specification, and product development records. Maintain master data across M3, AS400, Barco, Excel, and related systems. Provide technical guidance related to weaving, fabric formation, and textile construction. Support technical investigations and product development issues. Coordinate development activities with operations, marketing, engineering, and sales functions. Support customer development programs from concept through manufacturing readiness.
Pay:
