Product Sales Specialist - Truss

Product Sales Specialist Location:
Spokane Valley, WA Truss Are you passionate about building customer relationships, driving sales growth, and becoming a trusted product expert? We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Product Sales Specialist to lead sales, supply chain, and customer support initiatives for an assigned product line. In this role, you will serve as the primary product champion, partnering with customers, vendors, and internal teams to maximize sales performance, profitability, and market share. You will combine technical expertise, strategic planning, and customer-focused service to deliver innovative solutions while maintaining a competitive edge in the marketplace. Key Responsibilities Product Line Management Manage an assigned product or product line to achieve sales, revenue, and profitability goals. Monitor product performance and market position while tracking industry trends, competitor activities, and new product developments. Develop and execute short- and long-term strategies to grow product sales and market share. Conduct competitive analyses and recommend product enhancements, features, and positioning strategies. Sales & Customer Development Drive sales growth by developing strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders. Visit customer job sites to identify opportunities, provide technical expertise, and deliver outstanding customer support. Lead consultative, value-added sales efforts and manage complex proposals and product solutions. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through responsive service and effective problem resolution. Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination Oversee inventory levels, purchasing schedules, product availability, and delivery coordination. Monitor purchasing activities and collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure consistent product support. Coordinate warranty, service, and delivery activities to provide a seamless customer experience. Training & Collaboration Develop and deliver engaging product presentations and training programs for sales teams and customers. Partner closely with Logistics, Purchasing, Marketing, Operations, and other support teams to drive successful product initiatives. Support company growth by identifying opportunities to improve product performance and customer engagement. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of five (5) years of product sales, business development, account management, or related experience. Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Ability to analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive data to support business decisions. Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving abilities. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects. Preferred Skills Experience working with building materials, construction products, manufacturing, distribution, or related industries. Understanding of inventory management, supply chain coordination, and vendor relationships. Proven ability to develop product strategies that drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Work is performed in both office and outdoor environments and may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, and equipment noise. Frequent travel by vehicle to customer and company locations is required. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly and, on occasion, up to 80 pounds. Position requires travel to customer job sites to support sales, product implementation, and customer service activities.
