Job Description

Overview The Director of Product Management, Air Purification will lead the strategy, innovation, portfolio management, and commercial success of AprilAire's Air Purification category, including air cleaners, filtration solutions, UV sanitation, and radon mitigation products. This role plays a critical leadership position in advancing AprilAire's mission of delivering healthy air to every home through industry-leading solutions that improve indoor air quality, homeowner wellness, and HVAC system performance. As the business leader for the category, the Director will develop and execute short, medium, and long-range product and technology strategies that drive sustainable growth, profitability, and market leadership. Leveraging customer insights, market intelligence, competitive analysis, and emerging technologies, this leader will identify opportunities to expand AprilAire's presence in the indoor air quality market while creating differentiated value for homeowners, contractors, distributors, and channel partners.

Sun Prairie location Responsibilities In this role, you will: Define and lead AprilAire's multi-year product and technology roadmap, balancing customer needs, innovation, and business growth. Lead, coach, and develop a team of experienced product managers, providing strategic guidance, mentoring, and performance leadership while ensuring strong execution of product roadmaps, stage-gate reviews, commercialization efforts, and the on-time delivery of market-winning solutions. Deeply understand homeowners, contractors, distributors, and channel partners, using customer insights to drive product strategy and investment decisions. Identify new market opportunities and expand AprilAire's Healthy Air System with solutions that deliver meaningful customer value. Partner closely with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain to align priorities and execute against strategy. Lead cross-functional teams through the full product lifecycle, from concept and development through launch, commercialization, and ongoing portfolio management. Ensure every major product investment is tied to clear customer outcomes, measurable value creation, and strong business results. Drive adoption of integrated whole-home solutions by improving connectivity, interoperability, and the overall customer experience. Own portfolio performance, making data-driven decisions that improve growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Qualifications An exceptional product leader with a track record of building and growing successful product portfolios. A highly collaborative leader who can align diverse stakeholders around a common vision. Customer obsessed, with a passion for understanding unmet needs and turning them into compelling solutions. Comfortable making complex strategic decisions using customer, market, financial, and technical inputs. Experienced leading products from strategy through commercialization and market adoption. Ability to travel up to 30% domestically with advanced schedule planning
