Description We are looking for an SEO Content Manager to join a healthcare organization in Irvine, California on a Contract basis. This position is ideal for a senior, hands-on, detail-oriented individual who can lead search optimization efforts across content, technical execution, and cross-functional collaboration. The role will focus on improving organic visibility, strengthening AI-driven search presence, and guiding SEO initiatives within a complex digital environment. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to translate strategy into measurable results.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end SEO execution across content, technical improvements, and on-page optimization initiatives.
• Strengthen visibility in AI-driven search experiences by refining page structure, content relevance, and discoverability.
• Implement and expand structured data across scalable page templates, ensuring accurate schema usage for key content types.
• Create, revise, and optimize website content directly, aligning pages with search intent and user needs.
• Partner with web, development, and content teams to support SEO requirements tied to site architecture and platform changes.
• Coordinate input from multiple agency partners and internal teams, turning recommendations into clear execution plans.
• Improve program and landing pages through updated content organization, metadata, and technical SEO enhancements.
• Monitor organic performance using analytics and SEO platforms, then present practical insights and next-step recommendations.
• Build SEO best practices into publishing workflows so content updates consistently support search performance. Requirements
• Demonstrated hands-on experience implementing technical SEO improvements rather than reporting alone.
• Strong background in schema markup, including scaling structured data across templated or high-volume pages.
• Proven ability to write or substantially optimize web content for organic search performance and AI visibility.
• Experience working with WordPress, Drupal, or both within enterprise or large-scale website environments.
• Familiarity with SEO considerations during site migrations, including redirects, index management, and traffic preservation.
• Proficiency with tools such as Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, and SEMrush or BrightEdge.
• Ability to work effectively across internal teams and external agencies in a highly regulated or complex industry setting.
• Must be local to Irvine, California or able to work onsite as required.
