Job Description

About the role We're hiring for a
FALL 2026
intern focused on social media, growth and go-to-market. This is an in-person role that can be either full-time or 2-3 days per week for students local to SF/Bay Area. This is NOT a remote internship. You'll spend three months meeting SF founders, bringing in new customers, and telling the story of every company that moves into an office through us. It is the fastest way we know to learn how early-stage teams grow. About Tandem We're the first AI-native office brokerage. We help fast-growing startups find and lease office space, faster than anyone else does it. We also run BASECAMP, a shared workspace in SoMa that's home to around 100 YC and venture-backed companies. It's one of the densest concentrations of early-stage startup energy in San Francisco, and you'd work out of it every single day. What you'd actually do This is a people job. Most of it happens face to face. Meet YC and early-stage founders. Learn what they're building, what they need, where they're headed. Then make sure they know what Tandem is. Bring in new customers. Talk to companies hunting for space, find the real problem behind the search, get them touring. Tour offices across the city. You'll see what San Francisco real estate looks like. Walk tenants through move-in day , the moment a company gets its first real HQ. Make content out of all of it. Every move-in is a story. Film it, write it, post it. You figure out the format that works and we'll give you the reach. We'll say the hard part out loud: this is not a laptop job. You'll be out in the city, on your feet, talking to strangers, five days a week. The people who thrive here are the ones who find that energizing. If reading that made you want to start tomorrow, keep going. Who we're looking for A recent grad, or a current student on a gap semester or co-op, who can be in SF full time this fall A go-getter with low ego. You've built things, run things, sold things, organized things, hustled for things, on your own initiative Someone who genuinely likes people and gets energy from a room full of them instead of being drained by it Bonus, not required: sales, customer-facing work, events, community, or running your own thing Why this is unusual Most startup ops roles want two to three years of experience. The best people on our team came in green and learned fast, and none of them looked obvious on paper. So we're skipping the resume. Because we serve startups and run a workspace for 100+ YC teams, we have a front-row seat to the AI scene in San Francisco. If you've been watching this moment from the outside and want in, this is a door. Logistics 3 months, rolling start — final application deadline September 10, 2026 In-person at

We've replaced the resume with a short written answer and a 60-second video. The whole application should take about 10 minutes. —> Apply here: _ https://forms.gle/wun6ami7bDmQCwTq6 _ What to expect: A short paragraph about something you've built, hacked together, or made happen on your own. Doesn't need to be impressive in scale — we care about specificity and resourcefulness, not pedigree. A 60-second video walking us through what you described. Think YC founder application video in style: talking head, no edits, no script. Just you explaining it like you'd explain it to a friend.
