https://form.jotform.com/231509564433153 Digital Preservation A/V Specialist II (Full-time and Part-time positions) Digital Preservation Photo Specialist II (Full-time and Part-time positions) Digital Preservation Audio Specialist II (Full-time and Part-time positions) Job Description The Digital Convert is looking for very responsible, organized digital preservation specialists to assist in our office in the transfer and editing of various media to digital formats. Part time requires a commitment to a consistent, contiguous schedule (consecutive days not Mon, Wednesday, Friday etc). This position is not remote. Your job duties will include but may not be limited to: Organize, prepare and digitize client media Interest to focus on selected department with technical versatility to cross-train and assist with other media Basic editing/retouching of digital media Monitor calibration Output and conversion of digital files per client needs Train and supervise new employees Assist in the planning and development of new services Assist in the development of new lab and service policies Assist with office tasks as needed Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with clients Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues Log and report technical and maintenance issues Log and report supply needs, order supplies where authorized The ideal employee is one who excels in a fast paced production environment, is technically minded and interested in helping families grow closer through memories and technology. You will also need to use a variety of different devices and software - so please only apply if you're really good with computers and a quick-learner. We are primarily Windows-based. We are seeking employees who are tech savvy, media professionals, DIYers at heart, and moderately experienced with spreadsheets and formulas. You're quick to learn new apps. You're the kind of person that constantly looks up answers to issues that come up and you're not embarrassed or arrogant to discuss with someone else or a supervisor. Further you should not only be a rule follower, but a rule creator - looking for ways to improve our services, operations and efficiency. Required Skills Basic to intermediate editing skills Color retouching, cropping, scratch/tear/dust correction, video trimming/splicing Experience in with film and video/audio tape Expert knowledge of different media formats
