Job Description
About This Role The College of Health and Human Sciences (HHS) at Kansas State University is looking to hire a Social Media Specialist to join their team. This position will support the work of HHS through managing the college's social media accounts and creating assets that can be used across multiple platforms to enhance the college's brand. The Social Media Specialist will assist with the creation, production, and implementation of social media campaigns to support the college's student enrollment and retention goals, enhance the impact of research and scholarship through public awareness, and recruit faculty and staff with high potential for success. This position reports to the Public Information Officer. Specific duties include, but are not limited to: Manage and create compelling and action-oriented digital content, to include videos/reels, graphics, etc., for social media and other emerging channels Analyze performance metrics and report on content effectiveness Serve as a consultant to HHS schools and programs regarding best practices on social media usage Lead all design and creation of print and digital assets Build an asset library of photos and videos/reels to be used for digital and print needs Help ensure all creative outputs meet brand standards and are effectively distributed Collaborate with team members to support marketing initiatives This is a part-time, benefits-eligible position. The selected candidate will be expected to work approximately 20 hours per week.
