Job Description

Job Summary The Social Media, Events & Merchandise Lead is responsible for managing JAR Cannabis Co.'s social media presence, coordinating pop-up and brand events, and overseeing merchandise and apparel programs. This role works closely with ownership to create engaging social media content, support community engagement initiatives, coordinate events, and maintain merchandise inventory and sales programs. Key Responsibilities Social Media Management Manage and maintain JAR Cannabis Co.'s social media channels. Create and schedule social media posts using company-provided content and assets. Monitor social media engagement and respond to messages, comments, and inquiries as appropriate. Track social media performance and provide periodic reporting on engagement and growth. Ensure all social media activity complies with applicable cannabis advertising regulations. Event Planning & Coordination Plan, organize, and execute company events, pop-ups, sponsorship activations, and community engagement opportunities. Coordinate event logistics including vendors, permits, supplies, staffing, and promotional materials. Serve as the primary point of contact for event partners and organizers. Manage event calendars and ensure timely communication with internal teams. Assist with event setup, execution, and post-event evaluation. Merchandise Management Manage JAR's merchandise and apparel program across retail locations and e-commerce channels. Coordinate merchandise design requests with internal and external creative partners. Maintain merchandise inventory levels and reorder products as needed. Work with vendors to source, order, and track merchandise shipments. Monitor merchandise sales performance and recommend inventory adjustments. Ensure merchandise displays and promotional materials are properly maintained throughout retail locations. Community Engagement Monitor and respond to customer reviews on platforms including Google, Weedmaps, and other relevant channels. Support community engagement initiatives and local partnerships. Assist with company-sponsored community events and outreach activities. Qualifications Required Skills & Experience 2-5 years of experience in social media management, event coordination, merchandising, marketing, or a related field. Experience managing social media platforms for a business or brand. Experience planning and coordinating events. Strong organizational and project management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience working with merchandise vendors and inventory management is preferred. Familiarity with cannabis industry regulations related to marketing and advertising is preferred. Proficiency with social media scheduling and content management tools. Personal Attributes Highly organized and detail-oriented. Creative and collaborative. Strong time management and multitasking abilities. Comfortable working independently and as part of a team. Passion for community engagement and brand building. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
