Job Description
Job Description The Fargo Force are seeking a group of energetic and dedicated interns to join our team for the upcoming season. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in the fast-paced world of sports social media. This is a paid position, with the opportunity to receive college credit if applicable. The Fargo Force Social Media Game Day Intern will work alongside the Marketing and Communications team to produce real-time content that engages fans before, during, and after Fargo Force home games. Responsibilities Provide live social media coverage across Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram Stories Create engaging game day content including player arrivals, warmups, fan experiences, goals, celebrations, promotions, and behind-the-scenes moments Capture in-game promotions, mascot interactions, and community engagement moments as necessary Help identify creative storytelling opportunities that enhance the fan experience Stay up to date on social trends across platforms Maintain the Fargo Force brand voice and visual identity across all social platforms Various other duties as assigned Qualifications Working towards a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Sports Management, Graphic Design, Photography, or a related field (highly desired but not required) Strong background and knowledge in Adobe Photoshop, other Adobe Creative Platform experience is a plus Strong interest in the sports industry, particularly knowledge of hockey Comfortable using a DSLR or mirrorless camera for photo or video Great communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, live event environment while meeting deadlines Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks Must be available to work all Fargo Force home games, which include evenings, weekends, and some holidays Reliable transportation to and from games Ability to lift and carry camera equipment as needed What You'll Gain Real-world experience covering live sporting events Opportunity to build a professional sports content portfolio Experience creating content under live game deadlines Networking opportunities with professionals in sports marketing and communications Hands-on experience with one of the premier junior hockey organizations in North America For more information about the Fargo Force, please visit fargoforce.com.
