Requisition ID req37213 Working Title Social Media Marketing Intern Pay $14.00 Hourly Campus Main - Albuquerque, NM Department UNM Public Events (726A) Employment Type Student Employment Student Type Student Employment Status Non-Exempt Background Check Required No For Best Consideration Date 7/28/2026 Position Summary Working at Popejoy Hall, this position will focus on creating engaging digital content, supporting social media strategy, and promoting Popejoy Hall events through creative storytelling. Assist with creating, scheduling, and publishing engaging content for Popejoy Hall's social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. Capture photo and video content during performances, events, and outreach programs for use across digital channels. Assist with writing and developing social media campaigns that increase awareness and engagement for upcoming performances and educational initiatives. Monitor social media trends and recommend content ideas that resonate with our audiences. Help to research trends, write captions, and short-form content. Assist with preparing, printing, and distributing posters on campus and throughout the community. Represent Popejoy Hall at on- and off-campus outreach events and tabling opportunities to promote performances and educational programs. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Preferred Qualifications Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress. Detail-oriented, self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and current social media trends. Experience creating photo, video, or graphic content for social media is preferred. Experience with CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design/editing tools is a plus.
