Job Description
Key Responsibilities Event Planning and Management Coordinate, plan, and execute local events (in-store promotions, community outreach, brand partnerships, educational seminars, launch parties, and pop-ups). Manage event logistics including venue setup, staffing, permits, vendor coordination, budgeting, RSVP tracking, and post-event debriefs. Collaborate with compliance to ensure all events meet state and local advertising and product promotion guidelines. Represent the brand at events, greeting attendees, answering questions, and collecting feedback and lead information. Track event performance (attendance, engagement, leads, sales impact) and prepare post-event reports. Social Media Strategy and Content Develop and implement a cross-channel social media calendar (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X/Twitter, YouTube, and emerging platforms as appropriate). Create engaging, compliant content including posts, stories/reels, captions, and short videos showcasing products, events, staff, and community initiatives. Monitor engagement, respond to comments/messages in a timely and brand-consistent manner, and grow follower base. Collaborate with marketing and compliance to ensure all content adheres to platform policies and local/state regulations for cannabis promotions. Track metrics (engagement, reach, follower growth, website traffic, and conversion) and report insights. Campaigns and Promotions Assist with promotional campaigns, contests, partnerships, and influencer collaborations within regulatory guidelines. Help optimize paid social campaigns (budgeting, targeting, A/B testing, performance reporting) in coordination with the marketing team. Maintain a content library and asset management system (photos, videos, graphics, and copy). Brand Compliance and Community Education Ensure all communications comply with state cannabis advertising rules and age-gating requirements. Promote responsible consumption messaging and educational content about products and safety. Stay updated on evolving cannabis marketing regulations and platform policies. Administrative and Coordination Tasks Maintain calendars, schedules, and event logistics files. Coordinate with store staff for event staffing, training, and briefings. Support other marketing activities as needed (newsletters, website updates, in-store signage).
