Job Description

A Fitness Floor Associate would be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the fitness floor in addition to providing help to members with equipment usage. Collaboration with personal trainers, exercise instructors, and babysitting staff is also required. Fitness Floor Associates must be able to communicate to members the proper usage of equipment and be proactive in keeping the fitness equipment and area clean.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Clean equipment and fitness center areas which include the aerobic studio, spinning room, and functional integrated training room (F.I.T) Check equipment on a regular basis throughout your shift to what is operational or not. This should be a habit at the beginning of your shift. Keep the fitness center, aerobic studio, spinning room, and F.I.T room tidy at all times when not in use. Check paper towel dispensers, spray bottles, hand sanitizers, trash, and make sure all equipment is in proper location. Vacuum and mop spin room, stretch area, and F.I.t room at the end of the night. Vacuum fitness facility. Wash and dry fitness towels Report and complaints and broken equipment to professional staff on duty or to your supervisor. Greet each member by name and ask if they need assistance. If they do not need assistance, let them be aware that you are available to assist them if something should arise. Assist members with basic knowledge of equipment. Continuously walk the room engaging members. Be available to the member when in need of assistance. .
Minimum Qualifications:
Current CPR/AED and first aid certification required. A positive, up beat spirit, can do attitude and great sense of fun. Excellent communication skills and tact with members and prospective members. Ability to work well independently and as a team. Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities and move quickly from one priority to the next. Enjoy repetitive tasks and keeping things clean and orderly. We offer competitive wages and free membership.
