Job Description

Mina Design School (minadesignschool.com)
Location:
Irvine, CA (in-person)
Job Type:
Part-time, 20 hours per week
Pay:
$45,000 per year (approximately $43 per hour)
Schedule:
Weekdays, usually 3 days per week. About Us Mina Design School (minadesignschool.com) is a floral design trade school that trains the next generation of floral designers and entrepreneurs. Our students range from career changers to working professionals sharpening their craft, and our classes are hands-on, visual, and rooted in real industry practice. We are a small team, which means every person here has a direct impact on how students experience the school from their first Instagram scroll to their final class. The Role We are looking for a sharp, organized, digitally fluent assistant to run the behind-the-scenes systems that keep the school moving and the front-facing channels that bring students in the door.
This is a hybrid role:
half creative (social media), half operational (registrations, payments, website). You will work directly with the school's founder and have real ownership over your areas. The ideal candidate is someone who lives comfortably in Instagram, TikTok, Squarespace, and Square, picks up new tools without hand-holding, and can think ahead about what needs to happen next without being told. What You'll Do Social Media Content & Management (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok) Plan, shoot, edit, and post short-form video and photo content featuring classes, student work, floral techniques, and studio life Manage a content calendar aligned with class launches, seasonal offerings, and events Write captions, respond to comments and DMs, and engage with the floral and creative community Track performance and adjust content based on what resonates Manage the school's YouTube Channel as needed Student Registration Management (Squarespace and Acuity Scheduling) Set up and maintain class listings, schedules, and availability in Acuity Scheduling Monitor registrations, waitlists, and cancellations, and communicate with students about confirmations, changes, and reminders Keep student records organized and up to date Payment Management (Square) Process and reconcile tuition and class payments through Square Set up invoices, payment plans, and refunds as needed Flag discrepancies and keep clean records for bookkeeping Website Updates (Squarespace) Update class pages, pricing, dates, imagery, and copy as offerings change Keep the site accurate, current, and visually consistent with our brand Make light design and layout improvements as needed What We're Looking For Genuinely digitally native: you learn new platforms quickly and are already fluent in Instagram and TikTok as a creator, not just a viewer Hands-on experience with Squarespace, Acuity Scheduling, and Square (or closely comparable tools) is strongly preferred Strong writing skills and a good eye for visuals; you can tell when something looks right and when it does not Highly organized with attention to detail, especially around scheduling and money Self-directed and proactive; you notice problems and fix them before they become issues Warm, professional communication with students and prospective students Comfortable shooting and editing video on a phone (CapCut, Instagram tools, or similar) Interest in floral design, events, or the creative industries is a plus but not required Mastery of written and verbal English Must be authorized to work in the US. Must have reliable transportation to and from the office. Nice to Have Experience with Canva, Apple MacOS (Pages, Keynote, Numbers), and Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel) Familiarity with email marketing tools (Mailchimp, Squarespace Email Campaigns, etc.) Prior experience supporting a small business, studio, or school What We Offer $45,000 annual salary for 20 hours per week A creative, hands-on work environment surrounded by flowers Opportunity to build a portfolio of social media and operations work
