This is a hands-on, part-time role for someone who enjoys fitness, dance, social media, and connecting with people. The ideal candidate can bring positive energy into the room, capture engaging photo and video content during class, assist with class preparation, and help turn first-time attendees into returning members. This is not a traditional desk-based social media management position. Regular in-person attendance is essential. Responsibilities Arrive on time and assist with basic class setup, attendee check-in, and preparation. Capture high-quality vertical videos and photos during classes and special events. Identify the best moments for social media, including instructor footage, class energy, attendee reactions, and community interactions. Deliver organized raw content promptly, preferably the same day. Create occasional edited short-form videos, Reels, or TikToks when requested. Participate in the class environment and help create an energetic, welcoming atmosphere. Interact warmly with attendees before and after class. Help answer basic questions about upcoming classes, packages, and ways to return. Encourage attendees to book their next class or purchase an available class package without using high-pressure sales tactics. Assist with attendee follow-up, community outreach, and identifying potential leads. Share creative ideas for promotions, content, partnerships, and local audience growth. Support occasional dance fitness events or promotional activities in the Hillcrest and Mission Valley areas. Ideal Candidate Based in the San Diego area and able to attend classes and events in person. Dependable, punctual, responsive, and able to commit consistently. Comfortable working in a lively dance fitness environment. Naturally friendly, confident, enthusiastic, and comfortable starting conversations. Experienced in capturing engaging content using a smartphone or camera. Familiar with Instagram Reels, TikTok, Stories, and basic short-form video editing. Has an active social media presence or a portfolio demonstrating content creation skills. Understands how to capture content without disrupting the class experience. Comfortable discussing class packages and encouraging attendees to return. Able to work independently, notice what needs to be done, and take initiative. Dance, fitness, event support, customer service, community engagement, or sales experience is helpful but not required. Schedule and Location This is a hybrid role that includes required in-person work in the Hillcrest and Mission Valley areas of San Diego . Weekly availability on Wednesday evenings is especially important. Additional hours may occasionally be available for events, content projects, outreach, or promotional activities.
