Mechanic

Summary:

Seeking an experienced Mechanic to maintain and repair equipment used across our citrus orchards. This role requires strong mechanical skills, fieldwork, and reliability during peak seasons.

Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair gas & diesel engines Perform maintenance on tractors, ATVs, implements, water pumps, and farm equipment Handle welding, electrical troubleshooting, and hydraulic repairs Servicing equipment will include but not be limited to brakes, AC, transmission, cooling, fuel systems, electricity and suspensions Complete field repairs throughout orchards Support wind machines and emergency repairs during winter Responsible for making a weekly schedule based on repairs and services as needed Maintain punctuality, demonstrate proactive problem‑solving, apply common sense, and take responsibility for work quality and safety

Requirements:

High school diploma preferred Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred Must own and maintain a personal set of essential tools Valid and clean Class C driver's license Basic welding knowledge required Minimum 4 years of experience in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical repair on gas and diesel engines

Schedule:

40+ hours weekly; overtime, nights, and weekends as needed.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Able to safely operate an ATV. Continuous use of both hands; including grasping, pulling, and pushing. Sight, hearing, lifting, standing, walking, and balancing both feet on even and uneven surfaces, climbing, stooping, kneeling, reaching forward, reaching overhead, reaching below shoulder, wrist turning, neck turning. Able to occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Work will be conducted in farm areas and orchards. Environmental exposure-seasonal outdoor temperatures; must be able to work in extreme cold, heat, or humidity; and sometimes can include work in dusty or muddy work conditions.

Pay:

$32.00 - $34.00 per hour
