Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, maintain, and support Minuteman's full line of commercial and industrial electro-mechanical equipment and innovative projects. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and problem-solving skills, be a motivated learner, and demonstrate the ability to work independently under general supervision in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will support both current production and new product development through hands-on engineering, prototyping, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration. The successful candidate will work closely with production, quality, suppliers, and engineering teams to support product performance, manufacturability, continuous improvement, and issue resolution. This position must be ready to tackle the challenges of the future and drive innovation within our industry. Responsibilities
  • Design and support commercial and industrial electro-mechanical equipment, assemblies, and mechanical systems.
  • Perform analytical, physical, and practical evaluations of designs to ensure they meet functional requirements, manufacturability, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines.
CAD Design and Engineering Documentation:
Develop 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings for complete machine assemblies, sub-assemblies, mechanisms, linkages, weldments, sheet metal components, and related systems.
    Regulatory Compliance:
    Knowledgeable and aware of and adhere to relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations. Ensure that designs and products comply with safety and environmental requirements.
      Cross Functional Collaboration:
      Collaborate with other departments (Design, Product Management, Quality Assurance, Production, Technical Support) on the development and maintenance of current and future products. Present design proposals and provide updates on project progress.
      • Support and improve current production products in service. Identify issues, assess performance, and implement design improvements to enhance functionality, manufacturability, and reliability.
      Risk Management:
      Identify potential risks and issues related to current projects and existing product lines. Work with the team to find resolutions.
        Quality Assurance:
        Maintain the highest standards of quality for engineering deliverables, applying best practices and processes.

        • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related
        • Minimum 5 years mechanical engineering experience in industrial or automation environments
        • Proficiency in SolidWorks and mechanical drafting standards
        • Experience designing automation equipment, machine assemblies, or structural systems
        • Experience collaborating with manufacturing and cross-functional teams
        • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
        • Accuracy and attention to detail

        Pay:
        $78,000.00 - $101,000.00 per year
