Medical Department Supervisor

The Position:

We are recruiting for a Medical Department Supervisor to join our team of medical professionals in our community health center. The Medical Department Supervisor will assist the Clinical Manager in the overall management of clinic operations including medical staff assignment, and coordinating and integrating programs with medical staff. This individual's main responsibility will be the day-to-day supervision of the clinic's activities, provide support and supervision of medical assistant staff, and participate in the implementation and monitoring of the quality initiatives. This person will identify personnel needs and may discipline and train medical staff as directed. The Medical Department Supervisor will assist the Clinical Manager in addressing any HR issues, workflow challenges, and staff performance issues.

The Clinic:

Herald Christian Health Center has over 250 employees. Our clinics are in El Monte, Rosemead, San Gabriel, City of Industry, El Sereno, and San Diego. We also operate a school-based clinic in Rosemead. Our clincs provide primary care, pediatric care, behavioral health, dental, acupuncture and optometry. We also offer enrollment assistance for health insurance. Most of our patients speak Cantonese or Mandarin with little English. Licensure and Education Required:

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a valid, current CA Registered Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse license to practice.

Skills and Specifications:

1. Minimum 1+ years experience in clinic operations 2. 1+ years as supervisor or lead employee 3. Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook 4. Excellent written and verbal communication skill 5. Well organized and detail oriented 6. Comfortable in diverse settings and working with a diverse community 7. Fluent in Bilingual English and Cantonese/Mandarin/Vietnamese/Spanish preferred
