Job Description

Kirstin Care LLC. is looking for a billing specialist with extensive experience in managing medical billing in a healthcare setting. Must have quality customer service, administrative, and communication skills. Spanish speak a plus! Responsibilities Daily Answering phone calls and directing inquiries to appropriate staff member and/or troubleshooting issues within the intake department Knowledge of EMR systems: ICANotes, Microsoft office (Must be proficient in Excel, word, and Power point, Type 60wpm, 10-keys Must be able to meet production goals Date entry of all referral information and collecting missing information from referral source to enter client within 24 hours upon receipt. Strong Accounts Receivables/Collections reconciliation skills Must be able to multitask and work for a long time. Data entry of all referral information and collecting missing information from referral source to enter client within 24 hours upon receipt. Completing brief registrations of all new clients that are received within 72 hours of receipt. Consistently (no less than once monthly) check insurance eligibility to ensure clients are in an active status. Assist in obtaining authorizations and submit claims manually through Incedo for payment Assist in reconciling all denials and post payments Ability to bill Medicare, Medicaid, and Private insurances. Schedule psychiatric appointments and nursing appointments for those clients Must have expert level experience and knowledge of most Behavioral Health Programs in Maryland, to include
OMHC, PRP, SUD, RRP, PSH.

Willing to lead, offering excellent written and verbal communication and exceptional analytical and organizational capabilities. Assist administrative staff with interview schedule of prospective candidates. Ability to identify problems and analytical solutions. Greet clients, stakeholders, referral sources, and all others visiting Kirstin Care Provide administrative support in those areas identified by department supervisors. Other duties as required Key responsibilities will include: 1. Performance Management Create and maintain a high-performance environment characterized a strong team orientation. Maintain a pleasant and accommodating demeanor to Kirstin Care staff as well as those visiting and/or contacting Kirstin Care via phone, fax, or email. 2. Organizational Development Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work. Operates effectively within the organizational structure. Demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior. 3. Staff Hiring, Training and Development Work closely with administrative staff to assist in scheduling, greeting and providing needed documentation to prospective candidates. 4. Leadership Attend and participate in internal meetings. Proficient in resolving problems mathematically. Ability to work independently under pressure. $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
