Mental Health Therapist

The Gender Identity Center (GIC) is an outpatient private practice looking for a therapist who understands all the complexities of gender identity, or is passionate about this population and willing to learn. GIC provides individual, family, couples, and group therapy to clients of all ages. We work with kids, teens, adults, and are open to a variety of therapists who can work with different age ranges. This opportunity if for those therapists that have a passion for supporting the LGBTQ community and the ability to do in-depth identity work in therapy. We are a supportive and passionate team of therapists that are building a community and taking on an important and challenging need. At GIC you will have the flexibility of private practice with the social support of a great team. Our business model is comprised of independent contractors. Therefore our structure is best for those who value independence in their work, but do not want to be isolated in private practice. To have your application considered you must attach a cover letter. We would love to hire a therapist who specializes in gender dysphoria and one or more of the following categories: EMDR Eating Disorders Autism Spectrum Disorders Trauma Attachment/Psychodynamic Therapy GIC is looking to hire an independent contractor and build their caseload to full time. The primary job will be therapy sessions with the clients. Other job duties will include managing a caseload through scheduling, documentation, diagnosis, treatment planning, parent coaching, and safety planning. Independent Contract Work (IC) GIC will pay generously per session complete GIC will provide all the clients for you. Based on past growth statistics we believe a caseload of 25 sessions per week will take about one year to build. If you want to see more than 25 per week you see as many as you would like! IC can attend supervision if they desire. GIC loves to support therapist education. IC will set their own schedule/availability times. No requirement to work evenings or weekends. You can set your own schedule! We prefer clinicians who can provide a minimum of 10 hours a week. Gender is not the only topic we treat. We do wholistic work with all individuals. Independent Licensure is preferred (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, ect) however, we are able to provide clinical supervision to the right provisionally licensed candidate. Applicant MUST be licensed in the state of Arizona by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health.
