Together we can do more. Position Overview Performs wide array of direct and indirect services in the Wellness and Recovery Center (WRC). Indirect services include development and ongoing implementation of standardized clinical tools including Mental Status Exams, Continuous Quality Control, intake and chart reviews, maintaining clinical quality on the unit through observation and compliance with state and local policies. Direct services include assessment for persons experiencing acute/urgent emotional or mental problems. Summary of the Essential Duties and Responsibilities Direct Services to, or on behalf of, behavioral health clients: Suicide risk evaluations and recommendations. Access individuals of all ages to determine diagnoses, needs, goals, strengths, supports, & culturally relevant issues impacting treatment needs. Update diagnosis for all clients on team as appropriate. Reauthorization process for clients on the unit. Maintain a small caseload of OP/FACT clients. Conduct Groups and individual services for clients on the unit. Interact with all agency departments to ensure appropriate assessment and treatment of the individual, including the medical department, Mobile Crisis Team and adult treatment programs Reassess existing clients, including adapting treatment plans in order to help individuals obtain maximum treatment benefit Provide case-management services as necessary Consult with relevant community agencies, the coordination of multi-agency services, and participation in multi-agency support teams on behalf of consumers Consult, educate, and train other individuals or agencies as deemed necessary Develop & implement behavior plans for clients with behavior problems due to personality disorders or cognitive deficits with clients or caregivers Oversee therapeutic and case-management services, which may be provided by other counselors, counselor-techs, and counselor assistants for those clients on the unit. Participate in regular individual supervision from clinical manager. Display a professional image to the community. Ability to be flexible and manage urgent and crisis situations effectively. Ability to motivate staff and develop a working team around individual cases. Effective time management including but not limited to planning where possible and be punctual in person and work performed. Build strong working relationships and a positive work environment. Be receptive to feedback, willing to learn, and embrace continuous improvement. Complete all documentation, reporting, and other paperwork per agency standards. Attend all appropriate staff, organizational, and external meetings (as assigned). Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Measurables for program success will be developed with input and partnership from leadership. Maintain consistent expectations for agency assigned billable standards. Other duties as assigned. FACT The clinical assessment of client diagnoses, needs, goals, strengths, supports, & culturally relevant issues. Individual, family & group therapy. Relevant case-management services. Consultation with relevant community agencies, the coordination of multi-agency services, and participation in multi-agency support teams on behalf of consumers. The provision of consultation, education, and training to other individuals or agencies as deemed necessary. Development & implementation of behavior plans for clients with behavior problems due to personality disorders or cognitive deficits with clients or caregivers. Provide services in setting most appropriate for individual client.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's or Nursing degree in counseling and/or social services related field from an accredited college or university required. Two years' experience
- in providing direct treatment to individuals with behavioral health needs required.
- Recent graduates are not subject to the required two years' experience.
Recent graduates shall receive a higher level of supervision until they 1) meet the WAC Mental Health Professional definition, or 2) receive a MHP waiver. State of Washington mental health specialty in child, disability (developmental disability/serious physical handicap or sensory impairment), and/or older adult populations preferred. Clinical competence in providing assessment, supportive services, education, and therapy to consumers and their natural supports. Clinical competence in the provision of individual, family and group treatment.
Salary:
$36.20
84, depending on licensure, education, and experience.
Signing bonus:
