ENTERPRISE APPLICATIONS ADMINISTRATOR
Job Description
Position Summary Under the supervision of the Manager of Enterprise Data Services, the Enterprise Application Administrator will be responsible for the efficient and accurate operations of the college's Enterprise Recourse Planning (ERP) applications. The Enterprise Application Administrator role will be the primary contact for most end user support, troubleshooting, problem solving, resolving known issues, is first level help desk for all tickets identifying an enterprise application, all access changes, and in many cases will serve as the subject-matter expert for application landscape and system integrations. The position will work closely with user departments to fill critical system analysis while maintaining numerous computer applications and integrations integrity. The position proactively monitors systems to ensure optimal, accurate operations and reports on systems that may need attention. Ensuring systems integration to promote data sharing is also a role of the application admin. The position will prioritize and work independently based on their understanding of the issues in play and the consequences of each issue. Essential Job Functions Analyzes data systems issues to improve computer systems and provides the EDS area staff and users with assistance solving ERP landscape related problems. Works closely with user departments to help optimize the use of the College's ERP systems, including addressing known issues and introducing new features and functionality. Researches and evaluates emerging functionality; recommends new solutions and develops subsequent costs estimates. Creates and modifies software programs processes to solve business problems related to the College systems. Coordinates with other College development resources to produce new solutions. Implements enhancements provided by ERP application landscape to streamline and improve end user experiences and how the college's data can be utilized. Executes responsibilities in accordance with applicable laws and the College's Policies, which include the Code of Ethics. Assists functional areas in developing best practice work instructions. Collaborates with process owners to ensure proper ERP configuration and utilization of standard elements and processes. Develops monitoring procedures to perform, ensuring applications & integrations work as expected. Configures the application systems to meet the needs of the organization. Monitors application systems performance to ensure proper operation and verifies database and data integrity. Troubleshoots and fixes day-to-day software problems, diagnosing and recommending resolutions for larger, ongoing software issues. Will work with each of the vendor support processes in order to Keep the applications up and running Address known issues with each application Learn about and implement newly developed features and functionality. This position supports the following enterprise applications including, but not limited to: Ellucian Colleague SaaS Colleague is primary ERP application of record for college's student records, course & course section records, programs of study, graduation records, financial records, purchasing records, budgeting, employee records, payroll records, and lifelong learning records.
