Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into an exciting opportunity providing speech-language pathology services within both elementary and secondary school settings. This contract position lets you make a profound difference in the lives of students, offering support across a range of ages and abilities. You will collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to develop individualized plans that promote each student's academic and communicative success.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Active state license or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Experience working with elementary, middle, and high school students Skills in 1:1 therapy sessions as well as group sessions Ability to assess, diagnose, and write evidence-based intervention plans Familiarity with IEP processes and educational documentation Strong communication and collaboration skills Previous school-based SLP experience preferredKey Responsibilities:
Conduct screenings, evaluations, and diagnostics for speech and language disorders Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with student goals Work 1:1 with students as well as provide support in classroom or small group settings Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to IEP developments Consult with teachers, parents, and support staff to enhance student participation Maintain timely and accurate records, progress notes, and compliance with school and state guidelines This contract role offers a dynamic, enriching experience for those passionate about supporting young learners as they develop foundational communication abilities.
