Travel Emergency Room Nurse (RN) in Taylorsville, NC

This contract position is ideal for an RN with strong emergency room skills who thrives in fast-paced, high-acuity settings. You'll be joining a well-equipped medical center with specialized centers for brain, cancer, heart, lung, and orthopedic care, as well as a Level 3 NICU and adult behavioral health hospital.

Schedule/Hours:

Bi-weekly orientation provided for smooth onboarding

Essential Qualifications:

Active RN license with emergency room experience Strong assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (or willingness to obtain) Experience with high-volume patient environments preferred Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams Candidates must reside 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travelers

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality emergency nursing care across a diverse patient population Rapidly assess, plan, and implement treatment in urgent situations Administer medications, therapies, and interventions per physician orders Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and promptly Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers Support the center's specialized services and contribute to a safe, efficient ER operation
