Middle School English Language Arts Leave Replacement (Fall 2026) 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars 1088 Tucker Rd, North Dartmouth, MA 02747 Friends Academy 3 reviews We are seeking an English Language Arts Leave Replacement Teacher to join the Middle School team for the Fall Term of the 2026-2027 school year. This role will include teaching English Language Arts at the Middle School level, advising a group of students, leading service projects, chaperoning an outside-of-the-classroom trip, and other duties. Stipends are available for those who support after-school activities.
The ideal candidate would:
Appreciate middle school students and their learning. Demonstrate a commitment to our school's mission. Promote responsible citizenship and respect for diversity and differences. Design, implement, and creatively deliver curriculum. Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs of learners. Assess student learning with formative and quantitative assessment tools. Report student learning through student portfolios, narrative report cards, and conferences. Communicate with families regularly, acting as a point of contact regarding a student's academic, social, and emotional functioning. Be dedicated to social-emotional learning and positive discipline practices. Collaborate with grade teams and departments to create an integrated academic program for our students. Promote student ownership of learning through reflection and student-led goal setting. Help prepare for and facilitate Student-Led Conferences. Be involved in extracurriculars as well as Outside the Classroom trips and overnights
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field as well as teaching experience. A passion for middle school, a sense of humor, positivity, and warmth.
