Job Description

I have 2 jobs, 1 will start Thursday and end next Thursday, the 2nd will be the 19th-21st. Pay is 32 an hour for 12-hour shifts Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and energetic Millwright to perform shutdown work within a manufacturing facility. This role involves executing precise maintenance and repair tasks during scheduled plant shutdowns to ensure optimal equipment performance and safety. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in industrial mechanics, electrical systems, hydraulics, and welding, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise will contribute to minimizing downtime and maintaining continuous production operations. Duties Perform scheduled and emergency shutdown maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including conveyors, pumps, motors, and gearboxes. Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble machinery using precision measuring instruments and schematics. Utilize hydraulic tools and systems to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic components. Conduct electrical diagnostics using ammeters, ohmmeters, and other testing devices on low and high voltage systems. Execute welding tasks, including <

> welding techniques, to repair or fabricate parts as needed. Operate field service equipment such as scissor lifts safely for elevated work. Interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and maintenance manuals to guide repairs. Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, track parts inventory, and record maintenance activities. Ensure compliance with safety standards related to high voltage, electrical work, HVAC/R systems, and industrial maintenance procedures. Collaborate with team members and technical sales representatives to resolve complex mechanical or electrical issues efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized work environment during shutdown activities to promote safety and efficiency. Qualifications Proven experience as a Millwright or industrial mechanic within a manufacturing facility or similar environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in hydraulics, pneumatics, welding (including <
LOCATION
> welding), and electrical systems. Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and industrial control systems. Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking and documentation. Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals accurately. Knowledge of HVAC/R systems is advantageous for troubleshooting climate control equipment. Demonstrated safety awareness when working with high voltage or low voltage electrical systems; ability to follow strict safety protocols. Excellent analysis skills for diagnosing complex mechanical or electrical issues quickly. Field service experience in industrial settings is preferred; military background is considered an asset for discipline and technical training.
