MMU Dispensing Nurse II

  • $50.84 Hourly Position Type Full Time Apply Description Jamestown Healing Clinic (JHC) is seeking a skilled and dedicated Dispensing Nurse II
  • Registered Nurse to support our Mobile Medication Unit (MMU) and clinic-based services across Clallam County.
This full time, non-exempt position, plays a vital role in delivering safe, compliant, and patient-centered medication-assisted treatment (MAT) services to individuals in rural and underserved communities. The Dispensing Nurse II-RN ensures the accurate administration, tracking, and safeguarding of controlled medications while providing high-quality nursing care within scope of practice.
Schedule JHC Clinic:
5:30 AM
  • 2:00 PM Mobile Medication Unit (MMU): 5:30 AM
  • 4:00 PM Saturdays (JHC Clinic): 5:30 AM
  • 10:30 AM Schedule includes rotating assignment between clinic and MMU based on operational needs Essential Functions Administer Methadone, Buprenorphine/Naloxone, or Buprenorphine monotherapy as ordered by the Medical Director and providers Maintain accurate accounting of all medication received from suppliers and dispensed to patients Ensure safekeeping and regulatory compliance of all controlled substances in accordance with DEA, FDA, State Board of Pharmacy, and JHC standards Conduct breath alcohol testing and urine specimen collection/processing with accurate documentation of results Perform nursing-level care within scope of practice, including vital signs, physical assessments, wound care, and patient education Assess and document patient conditions and promptly report changes to providers Enter prescriptions, medications, patient encounters, and inter-agency communications into the electronic health record (EHR) accurately and in a timely manner Provide patient education on medication use, effects, and treatment expectations Maintain required statistical and clinical records Sterilize and prepare medical equipment and supplies following infection control procedures Follow all JHC policies, HIPAA regulations, safety standards, and occupational exposure protocols Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Washington Minimum of three (3) years of clinic experience Valid Washington State Driver's License CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to complete employer-provided training upon hire) Ability to pass criminal background check and meet vaccination requirements Ability to travel locally and regionally as assigned Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Experience in substance use disorder treatment and/or primary care preferred Strong understanding of addiction medicine, mental health, and primary care practices Knowledge of substance use disorders and their impact on individuals, families, and communities Phlebotomy skills and experience with urine specimen collection and observation Proficiency with electronic medical records (Epic and/or Methasoft preferred) Strong knowledge of federal and state confidentiality laws, including 42 CFR Part 2 Understanding of healthcare regulations, clinical documentation standards, and compliance requirements Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills Ability to work independently with strong initiative and sound clinical judgment Effective time management, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities Cultural competency and ability to work in a cross-cultural, trauma-informed care environment Jamestown Healing Clinic is committed to providing equitable, compassionate, and high-quality care to the communities we serve.
