As Advancement Development Associate, you'll support fundraising operations by maintaining accurate donor information, conducting prospect research, assisting with gift entry, and improving our database reporting. Schedule and Attendance Full-Time, Non-Exempt Regular, predictable attendance, punctuality, and availability to work during operational hours. Attend and participate in regular team meetings, all-staff meetings, and one-on-one meetings with direct leader. May be required to work at a different site based on department needs. May be required to attend occasional off-site meetings and events. Job Duties Donor Services Assist with donation data entry while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy. Follow procedure regarding the handling, depositing, and recording of gifts (cash, check, and credit card) during daily deposit, and adhere to security and confidentiality protocol when handling donations and donor information. Assist and provide backup to Advancement Services team members at special events as assigned. Prospect Research Support Advancement team by conducting research on prospective individual, corporate, and foundation donors through data mining, wealth screening, and ad-hoc research. Manage bi-annual wealth screenings, analyze and validate results, and update records to support the identification and qualification of prospects. Database Support Collaborate with Advancement team to identify, validate, and import recurring new data and historical data from the legacy database. Assist with various database enhancement projects, including custom field improvements and fixing migration-related record anomalies. Maintain reports and dashboards in the database to assist with data requests at high-volume times. Communication and Culture Communicate in a positive and professional manner with customers, other employees, and volunteers. Promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion to make AHS a welcoming environment for all. Technology Utilize Virtuous CRM and other supporting donation platforms and databases for gift and data management. Monitor AHS email and other messaging software. Requirements Experience 1+ years of clerical or data entry experience required. Experience with donor databases is preferred. Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent attention to detail. Strong administrative and process management skills. Strong multi-tasking and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with computers, specifically a working knowledge of Microsoft products. Physical Demands Prolonged sitting at a desk. Must be able to lift and carry up to 10 lbs. Emotional Demands Must be comfortable with the emotional aspect of work in an animal shelter environment, including the use of humane euthanasia. Transportation Reliable transportation is required.
